Passport Application
The Consulate provides passport services to Ghanaians in the Houston, Texas area, including new passports, renewals, and replacements for lost or damaged passports.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST BOOK AN IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT ONLINE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
Note: Self-addressed prepaid return envelopes are not accepted.
Ghanaian Passport Requirements
A Ghanaian passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document for Ghanaians traveling abroad.
Applicants must be **Ghanaian citizens** by Birth, Naturalization, Adoption, or by any **official enactment**. Documentary proof must be provided.
New Passport Application
- Proof of Ghanaian Citizenship – Original Birth Certificate.
- Identity Documents – School Certificate, Driver’s License, Employment/Student ID (originals only).
- Processing Fee – Payment required upon application.
Passport Renewal
- Previous Ghanaian Passport – Must be submitted.
- Identity Documents – School Certificate, Driver’s License, Employment/Student ID (originals only).
- Processing Fee – Payment required upon application.
